Emporium Bangkok is a sophisticated 6-storey shopping centre in Sukhumvit. The mall houses world-renowned designer brands, a luxurious cinema, and a state-of-the-art exhibition space, as well as an expansive supermarket and food court. Emporium Bangkok is conveniently connected to the 5-star Emporium Suites by Chatrium and Phrom Phong BTS Skytrain Station.
Featuring crisp white walls with gold accents and sleek marble flooring, everything about Emporium Shopping Mall in Bangkok is classy and refined – from the doormen in crisp white uniforms and the soft jazz being played on a baby grand piano as you enter, to the haute couture brands found inside. On the ground floor, numerous international high-end labels have anchor units, such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, Cartier, and Mont Blanc, while the 1st and 2nd floors cater to the upmarket and trendy, with designer brands including Armani Exchange, Guess, Diesel, and Calvin Klein.
Shoppers can also find the latest electronic gadgets, sports equipment, books and stationery supplies on the 3rd floor, aptly called Pleasure & Leisure. On the 4th floor, The Living Gallery is a haven for aspiring interior designers, offering elegant Victorian bathtubs, glittering chandeliers, intricate kitchenware, baroque lamps, mirrors, scented candles and diffusers.
The Emporium Department Store occupies all 6 floors of the back half of the mall. You can find familiar beauty brands such as Estee Lauder, Mac Cosmetics, Lancome and Shiseido, an expansive shoe section, IT and electronic section, men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, a speciality children’s section, and home decor brands imported from Europe, the US, and Japan.
The top floor of Emporium Bangkok is home to Asia’s first design learning and resource facility called the Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC). Aside from providing a creative space for emerging designers to display their work, this futuristic-style establishment stocks around 15,000 design books and publications, a large selection of films, and multimedia materials. Some parts of TCDC are for members only, but there is always at least 1 exhibition open to the public for free. You can also find a cute gift shop here.
After a day of retail therapy, you can catch the latest Hollywood films at SFX Cinema, which is also situated on the 6th floor. Movie tickets start from 180 baht.
A great place to stop for lunch is the Emporium Food Hall, located on the 5th floor. A collection of mid-range eateries fill the centre space, where you can find Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese and western restaurants, coffee shops and a couple of fast-food joints. Behind the centre section, there’s a modern food court offering Thai and international delicacies in a welcoming setting.
Emporium Gourmet Market also occupies the 5th floor of the shopping mall. This expansive supermarket stocks quality local and imported produce, meat, and seafood, as well as packaged products. There’s also an excellent patisserie section, with lots of classic Thai desserts, macaroons, colourful cakes, and Japanese treats that are simply irresistible.
